Rights of Way Improvement Plan (ROWIP) Consultation
Residents are invited to share their views on Gloucestershire’s Public Rights of Way network to help shape future improvements.
Published: 30 March 2026
Gloucestershire County Council is beginning an update to its Rights of Way Improvement Plan, which helps shape how public footpaths, bridleways and access routes are managed and improved across the county.
The current plan was published in 2011 and is now due for review. The updated plan will help identify priorities for the network between 2027 and 2037, including accessibility, health and wellbeing, and how people use local routes today.
Residents, landowners and visitors are encouraged to take part. Whether you regularly use public rights of way or not, your views will help inform future priorities.
