Starting a compost heap in summer has the benefit of heat. This is an essential element for speeding up composting. Summer offers faster decomposition due to naturally high temperatures, which support bacteria activity.

The Heavens Valley, nestling on the edge of Stroud, has long been a cherished haven for individuals, families, and friends. It is an open space where everyone can enjoy the meandering streams, beautiful meadows and ancient woodlands.

Join us for a fun day of exploring and recording wildlife. There’s something for everyone- from counting creepy crawlies to identifying small mammals.
