Armed Forces Day Celebration Coming to Stratford Park

A free family fun day celebrating Armed Forces Day will take place at Stratford Park, Stroud, on Saturday 27 June 2026, with entertainment, displays, charities and support organisations for all ages.

Residents are invited to attend a special Armed Forces Day Celebration at Stratford Park, Stroud, on Saturday 27 June 2026 from 10.00am to 4.30pm.

Organised by local veterans with support from Stroud District Council, this free community event will provide an opportunity to recognise and celebrate serving personnel, veterans and their families, while showcasing the work of local military, emergency service and community organisations.

The event will include:

  • Live entertainment throughout the day
  • Information and support stands
  • Military and veterans’ organisations
  • Emergency services displays
  • Family-friendly activities
  • Refreshments

Confirmed participants include:

  • Stroud & District Veterans Hub
  • The Royal British Legion
  • SSAFA
  • Gloucestershire Constabulary
  • Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service
  • British Red Cross
  • Scouts and Cadets
  • Army, Navy and RAF representatives

Entertainment will include performances from the Innsworth Military Wives Choir, Cheltenham Pipe Band and Jim’s Jive.

This will be the only official Armed Forces Day event taking place in Gloucestershire this year and offers a chance for residents to come together and show their support for the Armed Forces community.
